In a recent interview with Joe Rogan, Tesla CEO expressed his critical views on the majority of non-fungible tokens, emphasizing the lack of embedded image code within the respective blockchains.
“You should at least encode the JPEG in the blockchain. If the company housing the image goes out of business, you don’t have the image anymore," he stated.
This comment was perceived by some users as an endorsement of Bitcoin Ordinals, a protocol that inscribes images onto the Bitcoin blockchain. In response, one of the protocol's developers even crafted an NFT video capturing this specific part of the interview.
