📣 Unizen to Reimburse Affected Users

The DeFi project Unizen has announced plans to refund victims of a hacking attack that resulted in losses of $2.1 million. Users who lost less than $750,000 will receive compensation "immediately."
 
  Unizen CEO Sean Noga will lend personal funds to the platform at zero interest to prevent any disruption to its operations.  

  The project will negotiate separately with individuals who incurred losses over $750,000.
   Unizen CTO Martin Granström reported that critical updates to the smart contracts and mobile app have been deployed. The team is well-prepared for a comprehensive debriefing and audit, with a renewed focus on enhancing cybersecurity measures.

  The project is actively collaborating with experts and law enforcement agencies to trace the stolen assets and pinpoint the perpetrators.The hacking incident was initially flagged by the blockchain security firm PeckShield on March 9, after hackers had withdrawn $2 million. The next day, Unizen offered the hackers to retain 20% of the pilfered funds and return the remainder, though it remains uncertain whether this offer was accepted by the attackers.
