A recent Reuters article delves into the concerning use of Justin Sun's network in financing terrorist groups.
The
report reveals that Israel's National Bureau for Counter Terror
Financing (NBCTF) froze 143 Tron wallets between July 2021 and October
2023.
Citing
Tron's faster transaction times and low fees, Mriganka Pattnaik, CEO of
New York-based blockchain analysis firm Merkle Science, said:
"Earlier it was Bitcoin and now our data shows that these terrorist organizations tend to increasingly favor Tron."
A
Tron spokesperson responded to Reuters, emphasizing that any technology
could in theory be used for questionable activities, citing the US
dollar as an example.
The
spokesperson also noted that Tron didnβt have control over those using
its technology and it was not linked to the groups identified by Israel.
