⚡ Samsung Integrates Baidu’s AI Solution for China

Samsung is set to enhance its new Galaxy S24 smartphone series for the Chinese market by integrating Ernie Bot, an AI chatbot developed by China's Baidu. This feature is designed to efficiently handle tasks like summarizing, reorganizing, and translating vast amounts of information. Moreover, the chatbot will include a visual search capability, enabling users to search the internet for items using photos or images.
Samsung's decision is a direct response to the Chinese government's stringent restrictions on almost all major Google services, which are integral to the AI functionalities in the Galaxy S24's international version. Despite holding a relatively small market share in China (1-2%), Samsung is hopeful that this integration of a local AI solution will help in boosting its sales and appealing to new customers.
