Elon Musk has announced that his company Neuralink has implanted its brain chip in the first human. The patient is reportedly in recovery, and initial research results are showing promising signs of neural impulse recognition.

Neuralink is designed to help individuals with disabilities or severe injuries interact with digital devices through thought.

This technology involves implanting ultra-thin and highly flexible threads into the brain. These threads wirelessly transmit data to a connected application, translating thoughts into digital commands.

As per the company's blog post, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted permission for human trials in May 2023. However, Neuralink's actions have drawn criticism from regulatory bodies and U.S. legislators.
