Billionaire entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner’s wallet had been inactive for 160 days before some of his assets were transferred.
“I went on MetaMask for the first time in months. They must have been watching,” - said the famous billionaire.

Cuban suspects he unknowingly downloaded a tainted version of MetaMask. The incident occurred while he was cleaning up his account on his phone.

Subsequently, he transferred his remaining $2 million USDC to Coinbase Custody.

“MetaMask crashed a couple times. I just stopped. I locked my NFTs on OpenSea. Transferred all my Polygon in the account,” - Cuban stated.

Users noted that hackers likely weren’t monitoring Cuban’s activity.

Some suggested he might have unintentionally approved a malicious transaction, while others feared his private key could have been compromised.
