Twitter has a new CEO. Elon Musk appointed Linda Yaccarino. But who exactly is she?
All hail to the new Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino.
After months of juggling responsibilities and changing the Twitter logo to Doge’s Shiba Inu for several days, Elon Musk seems to be partially done with his pet project.
Even though he will remain in the company, Yaccarino is the one to take the reins henceforth.
In this round-up, we will shed light on Yaccarino, an American entrepreneur of Italian descent, and discuss different related circumstances.
1. Yaccarino vs. Kushner
Ever since Musk announced his intention to step down as Twitter CEO, there have been many rumors circulating with regard to his successor.
Among them was Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law who was spotted next to Elon Musk at the World Cup final last year in Doha.

Even though the rumors circulated throughout the entire 2022, at some point they were shelved for good.
What is noteworthy, is that despite not being mentioned in the list of top potential candidates for the job, Linda Yaccarino emerged as a winner. The perfect underdog indeed.
2. Yaccarino the ad guru
Yaccarino is best-known as an advertising specialist at NBCUniversal. She began to work there in 2011 when the company was merging with Comcast. As the company’s chairman, she was in charge of the company’s marketing strategy and ad revenues, totaling $10 billion.
Her employment terminated after Musk appointed her the Twitter CEO.
Musk’s choice of Yaccarino is likely to be strategic as since Musk’s takeover of the social media platform from CTO Parag Agrawal the sales dropped dramatically.
"If Twitter is looking to monetise better than they have been, then that would be the place to start and Linda would be the ideal person to make that happen," a person familiar with Yaccarino’s career noted.
3. Yaccarino the audience grower
Celebrating her appointment, Yaccarino posted a tweet recently, thanking Elon Musk for choosing her over others and tweeted “I see I have some new followers... I’m not as prolific as @elonmusk (yet!), but I’m just as committed to the future of this platform. Your feedback is VITAL to that future. I’m here for all of it. Let’s keep the conversation going and build Twitter 2.0 together!”
At the moment, Linda Yaccorino 398.2K Followers. Meanwhile, Musk has a whopping 139.7M Followers.

4. Yaccarino scares the MAGA/pro-Russian American crowd
Not everyone is happy with Yaccarino’s appointment. One of the discontent includes Jackson Hinkle who describes himself as the most censored man on YouTube and is also a well-known pro-Russian American political commentator.
He tweeted, “The problem with Twitter’s incoming CEO Linda Yaccarino is not that she’s on the “left.” The problem is that she seems to be an establishment shill who works for the World Economic Forum. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.”

5. Yaccarino the mom
While Yaccarino boasts of an extremely prolific career, she also appears to be a happy mother of two.
To that end, she tweeted, “ Being a Mom is one of the biggest blessings of my life. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! ?”
