UK prosecutors have charged a group of individuals with the kidnapping of Chinese businessman Dylan Huang. Law enforcement reports reveal that the criminals sought a ransom of $15 million in BTC, while subjecting him to threats, physical assault, and confinement for over 30 hours.

The assailants reportedly set up a trap, kidnapping Huang in broad daylight at a prestigious golf club in October 2023. Although Huang proposed to pay them with proceeds from stock sales and even attempted to secure loans from friends, his efforts only aggravated the kidnappers. After enduring torture, they abandoned him near a different golf club.

Law enforcement swiftly identified the car's driver through surveillance cameras, finding Β£4,000 in cash and multiple passports with different identities in his possession. Despite these findings, he denies all charges and has not cooperated with investigators.

The remaining suspects are believed to have fled to China, where the likelihood of extradition is slim. The prosecutor's office has charged the group with conspiracy to kidnap, blackmail, and illegal possession of firearms.
