The Super Political Action Committee (Super PAC), Fairshake, dedicated to supporting blockchain proponents in the political arena, has received a $4.9 million boost from Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, with each contributing $2.45 million. This follows previous backing from notable entities like Andreessen Horowitz, ARK Invest, Circle, Ripple Labs, and many more.
According to the latest financial report, Fairshake has $72.8 million in cash on hand. Over its lifetime, it has raised $85.72 million in donations, with $18.9 million already allocated to endorse election campaigns and strategies for select politicians.
Financial backing is anticipated to be a pivotal factor for both political parties in the forthcoming US elections. Lawyer and crypto enthusiast John Deaton's recent announcement of his Senate run is seen by some as a strategic move by Republicans to divert resources from his rival, Elizabeth Warren.
