Amazon Music is beta-testing a feature known as Maestro, an artificial intelligence-driven playlist generator. This functionality allows users to create personalized playlists through text input, emojis, specified emotions, or even auditory cues like other songs.

Maestro is initially rolling out to paid users of Amazon's mobile app in the United States, with plans to broaden access to other countries. The development team has implemented safeguards against unlawful requests and warned of possible inaccuracies in playlist generation.

One such automatically created playlist is tellingly named, "I tracked my friends and they’re all hanging out without me."

Prime subscribers, however, will experience restricted capabilities, limited to 30-second previews of songs. Full functionalities of Maestro, including playlist saving, will be exclusively available to Unlimited subscribers, consistent with Amazon’s strategic approach.

Spotify, Amazon Music's key rival, has also announced the launch of a comparable feature for its users in Britain and Australia.
