Last night, the Ukrainian band “Kalush”, the winner of the “Eurovision-2022” music contest, and Serhiy Prytula’s charitable organization auctioned off their crystal microphone to raise money for the Ukrainian army.
The charity fundraiser started on May 25, and the #StefaniaForUkraine lottery – “Auction for the Victory of Ukraine” ended with a donation of $900,000 from the WhiteBIT crypto exchange.
The CEO of the exchange, Volodymyr Nosov, said that this is Ukraine’s biggest cryptocurrency donation in history.
The funds will be transferred to the account of the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation and used to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, by purchasing three PD-2 unmanned aerial systems.
The Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation supervised the event through Monobank and MetaHistory. The draw was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes the international Eurovision Song Contest.
The Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with considerable public support, giving Ukraine its third victory at the contest.
Friends, you are incredible! We are grateful to each of you who donated funds to this auction and especially to the Whitebit team who bought out the cup for $900,000 and, from now on, become the right holders of our cup. Subscribe to them, they really deserve it. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
