Purpose
SmoothLovePotion (SLP) serves as an in-game ERC-20 standard token within the Axie Infinity project. It acts as an alternative to traditional experience points. Additionally, the Axie Infinity economic model includes a native governance token called AXS.
Players can earn SLP through gameplay or opt to purchase it on crypto exchanges such as Binance, Bilaxy, and Uniswap. The fundamental use of this token is to facilitate the breeding of the game's creatures, Axies. Starting a breeding session demands a 100 SLP outlay. The costs rise incrementally for subsequent breeding:
- Second round: 200 SLP.
- Third round: 300 SLP.
- Fourth round: 500 SLP.
- Fifth round: 800 SLP.
- Sixth round: 1300 SLP.
- Seventh round: 2100 SLP.
There's a limit to breeding, with each Axie capped at seven sessions. To accumulate the initial 100 tokens needed for the first breeding, players can either clinch victories in 15 matches or take a shortcut by purchasing the required amount of SmoothLovePotion on an exchange.
Total Supply
The in-game token doesn't have a supply cap. The number of tokens in circulation is directly tied to player activities. When users employ SLP for breeding, the tokens are consumed or burned, making their availability in the market highly variable.
