Would you like to create unique videos alongside charismatic Steve Aoki and Seth Green? Shibuya's Web3 video platform provides you with such an opportunity!
On February 1st, 2023, a musician, actor, and digital artist known as "pplpleasr," who is also a Shibuya co-founder, announced the continuation of the Dominion X interactive project. NFT holders from the Replicant X Collection will have the ability to choose the plot twists in Dominion X: Level 2 and work with the pros at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios to create an original digital story.

The project's creators claim that a new production model for scene-by-scene animation will be provided to the participants. All users of the video platform will be able to watch a stop-motion animated short, but only NFT owners with Character X will decide its fate. How exactly will they affect the course of events?

Holders of 4,000 NFTs (which were hand-picked by Steve Aoki) were offered on February 6 to stake their digital assets directly on Shibuya. This requirement must be met in order to be able to vote during production. Based on the outcomes of a weekly vote in the Replicant X community, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios will create a short during the next six weeks. Character X's owners will become the authors of each scene's ending in real time.

Everyone wants to contribute to the work of the digital maestro. However, this is not the full list of benefits that participants in Dominion X: Level 2 will receive. Commemorative rare NFTs will be awarded for personal contributions to the art. They will be sent to each user once the project is completed. Developers will consider the activity of a specific community member when determining the degree of rarity of a non-fungible token.

Shibuya is a collaboration between Emily Yang, a digital artist, and Maciej Kuciara, a professional concept designer who works in the video game and film industries. The interactive video platform was launched in March 2022 and was initially self-funded.

However, estimating the state of the crypto market, the co-founders raised seed funding in December 2022 to further develop the project and expand the team of authors. Investments of $6.9 million came from venture capital funds Andreessen Horowitz and Variant, as well as NBA superstar Kevin Durant, actress and singer Paris Hilton, and Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of DeFi project Aave.
