Pepe Coin Making Twitter Headlines

Even though Pepe Coin was launched recently, it is already making big headlines on Twitter.
If meme coins are the new black, then Pepe Coin is one of its darkest shades.

Launched on April 17, the coin features the iconic Pepe the Frog. And it’s making headlines on Twitter.

Describing itself as “the most memeable memecoin in existence”, it insists that we should “make memecoins great again” – an allusion to Donald Trump’s famous pre-2016 election slogan.

Using the coin's Twitter handle, the coin constantly tweets out new memes, including Illuminatipepe, a tribute to conspiracy theorists and their "illuminati confirmed" line.

Other cheeky tweets read, “Stop caring. That’s literally all you have to do. Just imagine this $pepe every time you get mad, sad, anxious, jealous, etc.”

At the time of writing, the coin is trading at $0.000000225. Data from CoinMarketCap shows positive dynamics, with its price soaring since its launch.

The coin is available on a number of exchanges including Uniswap, Poloniex, Huobi, and Gate.io.

The project also makes it clear that it is not planning to carry out any airdrops.

“Reminder that $PEPE will NEVER be having an airdrop. Do not fall for the countless airdrop scams going around. Stay vigilant and protect your assets, do not connect your wallets,” the Pepe Coin says.

No Taxes, No Bullshit

The coin is clearly competing with other meme projects, foremost Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.

“Pepe is tired of watching everyone play hot potato with the endless derivative ShibaCumGMElonKishuTurboAssFlokiMoon Inu coins. The Inu’s have had their day. It’s time for the most recognizable meme in the world to take his reign as king of the memes,” it reads on the coin’s site.

While it is clear that Pepe Coin aims to compete with leading memecoins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, it also operates under the slogan “No Taxes, No Bullshit. It’s that simple.”

“93.1% of the tokens were sent to the liquidity pool, LP tokens were burnt, and contract is renounced. The remaining 6.9% of the supply is being held in a multi-sig wallet only to be used as tokens for future centralized exchange listings, bridges, and liquidity pools. This wallet is easily trackable with the ENS name “pepecexwallet.eth”, the coin creators explain.

The meme project has a three-phase roadmap from launch to CEX listings and Meme Takeover.
