“Bowie on the Blockchain” is a 15-piece NFT collection created by nine leading artists in the NFT space. They tried to reflect Bowie’s influence on their own creative and personal development.

The collection demonstrates the artist’s commitment to innovating and transforming performances throughout his career. The most striking piece of the “Bowie on the Blockchain” was the work of 19-year-old artist FEWOCiOUS.

It is an animated video clip with a seven-foot-tall sculpture, which has one of Bowie’s custom suits on. FEWOCiOUS said he really loved the true, unabashed nature of the musician. The artist emphasized: ”He taught me how to grow out of the world that always told me ‘no.’

NFT Bowie by FEWOCiOUS sold the evening of October 3 for 96.5 ETH, the equivalent of $127,000. The remaining works sold in the collection ranged in value from 3 ETH ($4,000) to 7.5 ETH ($9,800).

You can buy NFT Bowie on the Blockchain on OpenSea until November 3. All proceeds will be donated to CARE, an international independent humanitarian NGO. Its representatives are fighting poverty and hunger in more than 100 countries around the world. David Bowie's wife Iman is one of the organization's active volunteers.
