The virtual performance for Super Bowl LVII by Sweetie is part of the program from the National Football League. The hip-hop artist presented her show on the Roblox online platform.
A brand-new virtual venue called Rhythm City Warner Music Group hosted the first-ever virtual concert. It's a playable city created by a music label that debuted on Roblox on February 4th. Every gamer in a social role-playing game can feel like a celebrity, changing creative professions, furnishing a luxurious home, driving a luxury car, and enjoying entertainment unavailable to mere mortals.

The Saweetie virtual performance for Super Bowl LVII began on Friday, February 10th, and aired hourly until Super Bowl ended on Sunday, February 12th. Fans could also purchase items from a digital collection dedicated to the singer's images during the concert on Roblox.

Saweetie's performance is organized by Gamefam and supported by the global fintech platform Intuit. It is expected to serve as a powerful social message, reminding users of women's rights while also drawing their attention to the Super Bowl.

β€œI'm really excited to bring this iconic moment to the metaverse and share my music with a whole new audience in such a unique way! As an artist, innovator, and football fan, to be able to perform during Super Bowl LVII weekend in this new world – Rhythm City on Roblox – is something I never imagined that I would be involved in. I am very grateful and happy about this opportunity,” Saweetie says.

In addition to the virtual concert, the NFL and Intuit have launched the Roblox game project Super NFL Tycoon. Here, gamers will get a unique experience of doing business as owners of football clubs. Super NFL Tycoon is an extremely realistic simulation that allows players to make player selections, construct stadiums, allocate funds for every team's operational expense, and more. A unique portal between Rhythm City and Super NFL Tycoon was made available to users during Saweetie's performance.

According to NFL Vice President of Video Games Ed Kiang, the performance will unite football and music fans in the metaverse and carry on the tradition of bringing cutting-edge content to Super Bowl events.

Lara Balazs, Intuit’s Chief Marketing Officer, believes that such experiments play an important role both in organizing youth leisure and in presenting modern financial literacy tools:
The metaverse provides an age-appropriate environment to introduce younger people to important financial concepts in a fun and engaging manner. We are proud to bring this fun learning opportunity to highly engaged sports and entertainment fans.
