Decentralized Pictures is using blockchain technology to reinvent the film industry and bring filmmakers back to the heart of their craft. With co-founders Roman Coppola, Leo Matcett, and Michael Musante leading the charge, this platform is revolutionizing cinema experience.
Decentralized Pictures is a non-profit blockchain organization that uses innovative technologies to support aspiring filmmakers. It has a close connection with the independent film studio American Zoetrope, founded by Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas.

AZ is now under the ownership of Roman, Sofia, and Gia Coppola. With a keen eye for innovation, the company boldly explores alternative methods of film production and seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology into their creative process.
We have always been rooted in the principle of promoting a vibrant community of filmmakers and creating a setting where artistic collaboration can flourish

In DCP, users can use the digital currency FILMCredits to pay for gas fees and to use art-related applications. For instance, in the DCP App, a special film funding application, participants can apply for grants, review and evaluate other applicants' proposals, and receive additional non-financial support for their projects.

Decentralized Pictures allows developers to create other art and culture-focused applications on the T4L3NT Net blockchain, building a comprehensive ecosystem for a virtual studio.

Decentralized Pictures digital asset

FILMCredits is the native digital currency of the T4L3NT Net blockchain. Currently, there is no limit to the number of assets obtained through mining as a reward for a block.

At the launch of the network, the genesis block contained 75 million FILMCredits, which were distributed as follows:

  • 25 million were sold through private auction;
  • 25 million were sold through public sale;
  • 25 million are held by the organization for non-commercial purposes.

FILMCredits serve a dual purpose on the T4L3NT Net blockchain - they are both the currency used to pay for gas fees during transactions and contract publishing, and the reward given to active users for their contributions to the network and the film industry.

Decentralized Pictures community

The platform offers users five roles:

  1. Administrator. This position is reserved for community members who belong to the top 1% of reputation leaders. Administrators can resolve disputes involving moderators..
  2. Moderator. Ultimate spam-fighter and content judge. Moderators ensure high-quality content by monitoring and filtering posts. With great power comes great responsibility, and moderators are trusted to make tough decisions about what stays on the platform.
  3. Sender. These are the authors who submit their creative ideas to DCP for implementation. Their proposals can range from storylines, movie and advertisement scripts, to resumes of completed projects. By publishing their materials on the platform, senders receive ratings, feedback, and critiques from registered users, including industry experts.
  4. Reviewer. Those responsible for evaluating all ideas, scenarios, and presentations submitted by senders on the DCP platform. They publish reviews, earning FILMCredits and increasing their reputation.
  5. Evaluator. A community member who oversees projects and their promotion. Evaluators review materials submitted by senders, determine their genres, and vote to select projects for further funding.

Rewards and benefits

The platform offers its users a chance to contend for prizes across diverse categories and genres, each with its own range of rewards. The incentives may vary significantly, ranging from a few thousand to several million dollars, based on the scope and scale of the project.

The victors not only receive funding, but also benefit from the platform's support in implementing their ideas. It provides the author with contractors, marketers, and partners from other fields who participate in shooting, post-production, and project popularization.
