Crypto lawyers rally against Gary Gensler
Experienced lawyers are calling on the SEC Chief, who is incidentally a professor of the Practice of Global Economics, to urgently brush up on US laws.
“Until and unless the SEC proves its case in court over each individual token one at a time then it lacks authority to regulate any of them.”
In other words, if Gensler wants to classify all cryptocurrencies as securities, he must conduct a thorough investigation into each and every (!!!) cryptocurrency, win all the court cases, and all subsequent appeals.
Otherwise, the situation risks being likened to punishing all cats to protect all shoes just because a neighbor's cat peed in yours.
