Bitcoin: A Countermeasure to AI Threats

To counter these risks, Saylor suggests employing Bitcoin's foundational layer to create a pair of keys — one public and one private. These keys could be used to incorporate identification data, thereby establishing an unchangeable identity linked to social media accounts. The result? The creation of bot accounts becomes a costly process and subsequently, less practicable.

The co-founder of MicroStrategy divulged that his firm is actively working on this technology. Their goal is to incorporate the cryptographic safeguards inherent in Bitcoin into their corporate security measures. 

Saylor underlines that the significance of retaining control over our digital realm is tantamount to the importance of protecting our airspace or sea routes. Hence, this priority holds considerable weight in terms of national security. 


It's important to mention that solutions for decentralized identification, which could potentially tackle the problem at hand, already exist. While they don't rest on the Bitcoin blockchain, they have the potential to counteract the stated issue. For example, Polygon ID, launched in early March 2023, is one such solution.
