In August 2022, developers unveiled a collection that they describe as a symbol of independence, mutual respect, and universal recognition. The digital Betty is released in 8,888 unique variations, each imbued with the character traits of the beloved heroine. As of writing, the collection's market capitalization stands at 242.1 ETH, and the starting price for an NFT is 0.0369 ETH.

Betty Boop's style and fashion are given special attention in the NFT collection, much like in the film industry. Each NFT comes with original digital clothing and accessories, created by the digital fashion house, Myami Studio. The collection features 92 unique fashion traits – one for each year of Betty's existence, leading up to the launch of Boop & Frens.

The Boop & Frens collection is just the beginning of Betty's journey into the digital world. The project's creators have a significant mission in mind: to give everyone a stage. To achieve this goal, a permanent digital platform will be developed in the near future, where virtual artists and creators from different corners of the metaverse can perform.

Owners of Betty Boop NFTs can also look forward to additional privileges, such as early access to digital art items and a unique fan experience in the metaverse. Fans have particularly enjoyed the holiday-themed updates in the project, such as the Christmas mini-collection featuring three NFTs of Betty Boop in festive attire, priced at 0.029 ETH and up.

About Betty Boop

Betty Boop is a cartoon character created by Polish-American animator Max Fleischer. She first appeared on screen in 1930 in the black-and-white animated short film titled "Dizzy Dishes." Her coquettish and feminine style quickly won over the hearts of viewers, leading to the creation of 99 episodes featuring her from 1932-1939.

At the dawn of her "career," Betty was just as popular as Mickey Mouse. In fact, the film "Snow White" (1933), featuring her character, was even added to the National Film Registry.

However, despite her popularity, Betty's provocative image did not go unnoticed by the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America. After the adoption of the Hays Code in 1934, Betty Boop fell victim to radical censorship. She lost her trademark cleavage and mini-skirt, transforming from a charismatic jazz singer into a classic lonely housewife. Following this transformation, the character went on a forced hiatus and only returned to screens in the 1980s.
