And Just Like That Bitcoin Appears in Sex and the City’s Revival
It’s time for Bitcoin to make a serious appearance on mainstream TV. And Just Like That, the remake of the iconic 1990s TV show Sex and the City gave it an opportunity to do so.
Remember Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes?
This iconic quartet of friends, created by American writer Candace Bushnell, originally came to life in 1998, exploring Manhattan’s dating scene and various kinks.
Fast forward over twenty years, and the show is back under a new title, And Just Like That, featuring several new key characters alongside Bradshaw, York, and Hobbes.
For all the off screen drama relating to the alleged falling out between the actresses playing Carrie and Samantha and mixed reviews, the show still manages to appeal to the public. Not least by providing its viewers with an aesthetically pleasing experience of New York and various outfits.
In the episode aired on June 27, the revival’s new character, Lisa Todd Wexley, portrayed by Nicole Ari Parker, wears a golden tunic and pants complemented by a purse with a Bitcoin logo and extra tall heels.
The scene shows Wexley walking out on her date right when they were finishing their chocolate mousse. With sparks flying in the air after a dispute, the outfit manages to complement the general mood by adding a trifle of Wexley’s glamor and self-assertiveness.
More so when she gives her date one final look of disdain before storming out of the restaurant.

The outfit’s concept is somewhat similar to the Miss Universe contestant's outfit from El Salvador. In January, she wore a sophisticated all-gold outfit that aimed to represent the physical version of Bitcoin.

The purse’s brand is not mentioned by the creators. The attempt to find it online has not come to fruition.
And Just Like That kicked off on December 9, 2021. Its IMDB rating at the time of writing is 5.7. Meanwhile, its original version, Sex and the City’s score sits at 7.3.
While it is not yet known whether And Just Like That will be renewed for season 3, the probability, according to some sources, is high as the show manages to attract audiences.
Other outfits in the show, known for its unorthodox style and combos, include a pigeon purse by JW Anderson worn by the lead character, Carrie Bradshaw It is available on FarFetch for $890.
