Alibaba Cloud, a branch of the Alibaba Group that delivers cloud computing solutions, is in the process of designing Cloudverse, a platform aimed at deploying metaverses. The launchpad is being developed in collaboration with Ava Labs and MUA DAO on the Avalanche blockchain.
The platform offers a comprehensive solution for enterprises to create virtual spaces. By means of Cloudverse, one can effortlessly and expeditiously conceptualize, inaugurate, and sustain a metaverse. Each element, including avatars, NFT lands, and wearable devices, can be tailored to fulfill a spectrum of commercial requirements.

According to the Alibaba Cloud website, a metaverse can be created in as little as a month and a half. Once created, enterprises can collaborate with other companies in a global open virtual space. They will also gain access to the user bases of MUA and Avalanche, which will help expand their existing audience and increase customer traffic.

Cloudverse also boasts of another advantage - the ability to enhance brand recognition. This will be achieved through the professional marketing campaign management functionalities provided by MUA DAO for virtual marketing campaigns.

Alibaba Cloud handles the metaverse's cloud infrastructure, responsible for computation, intelligent operating systems, and database storage. Ava Labs supplies the Avalanche blockchain for metaverse development, while MUA DAO focuses on the architecture for populating virtual spaces.

Raymond Xiao, the head of Alibaba Cloud's international Web3 division, stated that Cloudverse would enable any business to embark on their metaverse journey, promoting products, implementing innovative ideas, and expanding their customer base.

He also mentioned that many businesses in the Asian region are eager to explore Web3, driven by the widespread adoption of blockchain technology and the metaverse.

It's worth noting that Alibaba Cloud and Avalanche partnered in 2022 to establish the Node-as-a-Service initiative. As a result, Avalanche validators from China, Japan, South Korea, and other Asian countries began launching nodes using Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure.

Last year, Alibaba Cloud also launched its Blockchain Node platform, providing infrastructure for Web3 developers.

In January 2023, the company signed a cooperation agreement with Mysten Labs, creators of the Sui blockchain, aiming to offer tools for launching cloud nodes by validators.

In February 2023, Alibaba Cloud announced the creation of cloud blockchains as part of a global Web3 strategy, partnering with the distributed ledger Elastos. This collaboration also involves the development of decentralized identifiers (DID). Additionally, the companies will support emerging blockchain projects, organize hackathons, and offer educational programs for developers.

By developing the Cloudverse platform and leveraging blockchain, Alibaba Cloud is poised to lead the charge towards a more advanced and secure internet. Brace yourself for a future of limitless possibilities!
