The 6th Blockchain International Scientific Conference is scheduled to take place on April 19, 2024, in Singapore. This event will feature scientists and experts in blockchain, Web3, and cryptography showcasing their latest projects and research findings.
The conference is organized by the British Blockchain Association (BBA), a nonprofit entity focused on promoting the adoption and understanding of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies across the scientific community. Established in 2017 by Professor Naseem Naqvi, the BBA has been instrumental in bridging the gap between blockchain technology and academic research, earning Naqvi national recognition with the King's Honour for his contributions to innovation.

The BBA's global membership, which extends across six continents, underscores the conference's role as a pivotal online and physical platform for networking and collaborative endeavors. Beyond its annual conferences, the BBA is also known for publishing the first peer-reviewed blockchain and DLT research journal, the Journal of the British Blockchain Association (JBBA), which boasts contributions from an international cadre of scholars from over eighty countries.

The conference agenda promises to cover a breadth of topics, including:

  • decentralized finance,
  • smart contracts,
  • blockchain security,
  • the integration of blockchain with emerging technologies.

Featured speakers at the conference will include:

  • Daniel Liebau, Erasmus University, the Netherlands
  • Professor Dr Sinclair Davidson, RMIT University, Australia
  • Timileyin Abiodun, University of Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Prof Dr Oleksandr Letycheskyi PhD, Heriot-Watt University, UK
